My Favorite Mom Made Biz Products 2011 #3- Sugar & Spice Studios

by farrah on December 14, 2011 · 4 comments

So for my third favorite mom made biz, I have my friend Andrea. She is a mom of two and owns the very creative Sugar And Spice Studios on Etsy. I didn’t do a true review- per say, of her work- but I have worked with Andrea on two projects. The most recent creation Andrea made for me was the utterly fabulous Happy Birthday Banners for the twins that I wrote about in their birthday post.

The first time I asked Andrea for her help was when I was looking for mobiles for the twins’ nursery. With my oldest son I went with a traditional Haba bird mobile (that really is pretty cool- the birds are magnetized and come off) but this time I was going with an elephant theme and liked the simplicity and modern style of Flensted.  I knew Andrea had an etsy shop, so off I went to check it out.

I’d like to meantion here- (ahem)  and say that Andrea did NOT have her elephant shaped cutter thing before I came along.. (so all of her success is to my credit, right?)  but regardless, she makes these. And I have two of them…. Cooler still, she also makes these Cat in the Hat inspired ones too! Leaves, snowflakes, flowers..you name it- I bet you can work with her on a project and get not only what you’re looking for, but BETTER.

So…if you need a creative, original, unique paper project- Andrea is your person. And again- another MOM made biz that makes my heart happy!!

You can show her some affection on her Facebook page and Favorite her on Etsy too.

Well this little post just made my morning :) Thanks Farrah. And yes, you do deserve credit for making me go out and spend $$ to get you….and now (probably 50!) others a similar mobile. You have such great ideas. I love working with people who make me try harder and achieve more!

Such a cute business Etsy is a wonderful site for mom made biz. The birthday banners are adorable and so are the mobiles. I’ll definitely stop by and check out her site.

I also LOVE Andrea’s work! She is very talented and takes striving for perfection to a new level!! My daughter has a beautiful flower mobile in her room! *This is her second one – we changed her decor from a nursery to a big-girl room and Andrea matched the new colors perfectly!
