Halloween Hangover

I know most of you are celebrating Halloween today. I wish you a fantastic day- fun and fair weather! We had it for just a few hours, last night, and let me tell you that I am super-ok with that and don’t need to see it again until next year. Mainly due to the barf.

PicMonkey Collage4I know they’re not over their line. But still! The craft, and costumes.

Yesterday I was a crazy woman running all over town, dragging the twins with me getting ready for the expat club Halloween party later in the afternoon. We had trinkets still to purchase, cupcakes to make and people to face paint. Not to mention pick up B at school, feed/nap/and so on. It was a day that I planned down to the minute- and even a semi truck blocking the road nor a person parking on top of me so I couldn’t get in my car– could deter me. We totally made it to the place on time to decorate and the party went off without a hitch (craft included!) until C threw up in the middle of the floor.

Sidenote: My friend made a super easy and awesome game that you can do if you need something last minute.

It wasn’t his fault. I was too busy making sure that everything was going ok with the party and the kids craft (because seriously- me having a successful craft was like unheard of) so he was taking advantage of the free-flowing apple nectar and unlimited candy. He didn’t really eat lunch, and we hadn’t had dinner yet so the poor little guy had so much ick going on that he just couldn’t take it any longer.

Sidenote- this was the first time I have experienced one of my kids barfing.

So, we left- hoping the worst was over and picked up dinner (McD’s- not the best idea when one of your kids has been barfing) came home and he puked a few more times into the corner of the couch. That was about enough for me, I plopped the kids in the bath, we put them to bed- and by 8:30pm we all (myself included) went to snoozeville.

Today we’ve woken up to a brand new day- that’s actually Halloween, but the memory of barf and how much running around I did yesterday kind of makes me relieved that there is no Halloween today (here). I can watch you guys from afar having fun, see your pics and hear your stories. Live it up! I had my fill.

And if you need something scary go read and watch my post about the Krampus from earlier this week. I love that guy! Boo!

I’m sorry your little guy got sick. I think that’s a right of passage as far as Halloween goes. Glad that was the worst of it, though. So, here’s to next year!!

I agree! In a perfect world I bet he’d learn a lesson but, I doubt it 🙂

I hope C is feeling better – though I’m impressed that this was the first incident. That’s gotta count for something!
And for the record, the kids’ crafts came out great. I call it an overall win for the party – well planned! =)

I know it! I really haven’t ever said anything about it so as not to jinx us- oh well! Yep- I’d say the party was good!

Ohhh no! Poor little tyke. And poor you – you did so well to keep it all on track, and then you did not get you enjoy it till the end. On the plus side, at least you got out of cleaning up 🙂
I hope that he felt loads better today.

I can’t believe that was your first kid barfing experience! I caught some puke at the urgent care clinic while hoisting one kid on my hip and trying to corral the 2 yr old.
