Losing My Mind

I find myself today about to lose my mind. Yesterday I lost C’s precious blankie and he had to go to bed without it. I don’t begrudge him his blanket- in fact in my mind it keeps him a wee little guy just a bit longer. Considering yesterday was also his birthday- this has left me filled with mom guilt and regret. Nice way to spend the day.

Other than that, I am bursting to get down and write about our weekend- I’ll be giving a full review of the Center Parc in Germany where we stayed on Travel Mamas, so here’s where I can tell you more of the story behind our ‘family togetherness’. I’m sure you catch my meaning. Also we popped into a gorgeous château in my dream country, Luxembourg- which was pretty fabulous even if one of the boys went running down a slippery cobbled sidewalk and couldn’t stop. That was interesting.

And lastly- to round-up the never-ending birthday extravaganza- we have Dino World today with some expat friends as their ‘party’. I’m really looking forward to seeing my friends from Life In Dutch and Travel Turtle! The boys are all wearing matching dino tee shirts so we’re feeling it today.

Here’s hoping I can get down to post SOMETHING later today or hopefully tomorrow. My brain is jumbled up and I feel like I can’t think straight. Maybe if I do a big brain purge I can figure out where the heck that blanket is hiding.

Have a good Wednesday!

I feel you on the lost blankie. Last year shortly after we moved I lost my sons blankie, I couldn’t find it in the house and I couldn’t remember if I had seen it since we had been at the mall. I searched the house and then drove back to the mall in tears and retraced our steps and asked every store if they had seen it. I was like a mad woman. No one had seen it, so we went home and I put him to bed without it and I just felt terrible. Then it turned up in a kitchen cabinet, I did a victory run around the house and gave it to my guy. I hope you find yours soon, hugs.

I hope the blankie turns up soon – it’s gotta be in the house somewhere, though.
Dino World was a blast! Little Man is still roaring. I’m glad we could celebrate with you. =)

Oh no! Did you take it outside maybe? And leave it on the outdoor table? What about the laundry room? Did it get jumbled up with the hand washing pile that you are avoiding (or is that just my house that that happens?)

I hope you find it soon.
